ABOUT bsit
Bsit is a babysitting app that helps parents manage their babysitting appointments from finding a babysitter up until the actual payment. Bsit provides a two-sided platform for parents to find sitters and for sitters to find actual sittings both in an occasional manner as well as in a structural way.
The CHALLENGE
Bsit considered the rebuild of their application as an opportunity to re-evaluate their MarTech stack and optimise the way engineering resources were used in order to fuel their marketing and product operations using customer data. Bsit needed to articulate its vision with regards to customer experience clearly and ensure that the underlying infrastructure was ready to turn that vision into reality.

A series of workshops enabled us to:
Translate Bsit’s vision, ambition and business challenges into bite-size user stories.
Prioritise the different user stories based on their impact and feasibility.
Define which technological components were needed and missing in order to execute the user stories.
Evaluate different technologies in a vendor assessment that was tailored to match Bsit’s vision, ambition and business challenges.
Build a technology integration and implementation roadmap & experience delivery plan.
THE RESULTS
State-of-the-art mParticle (Customer Data Platform) implementation that integrates with both Amplitude (product analytics), AppsFlyer (mobile attribution) and their marketing and media channels. The result is facilitating operations for the three main teams within Bsit’s organisation:
Marketing - The marketing team leverages mParticle to build a single view of the customer, manage audiences centrally and dispatch marketing automation journeys in a structured and holistic way. The rest of the marketing channels living downstream feed off the same technical implementation which ensures consistency across the stack.
Product - The product team can make use of an integrated product analytics tool for which data quality is controlled rigorously through mParticle’s data plan functionalities. This ensures the product team has excellent data quality allowing them to align product insights with DevOps in an integrated manner.
Engineering - As mParticle is used as a Customer Data Infrastructure engineering only has to focus on a single SDK which reduces application SDK bloat and improves the focus and quality of the implementation. The downstream applications (data warehouse, Amplitude, Appsflyer, marketing and media channels, etc) feed off the same technical implementation making data quality a centralised and controlled element in the stack.
